Podcast Episode 009: Dining Dilemmas – Interview with Hope Warshaw
Jun 1, 2015
Today’s topic is healthier approaches to restaurant dining – with or without diabetes.
You may also listen on iTunes, or Stitcher.
Today my guest is Hope Warshaw. Hope is a dietitian and diabetes educator and the author of the newly released “Eat Out Eat Well – The Guide to Eating Healthy in Any Restaurant.” She owns a consulting practice, Hope Warshaw Associates, LLC, in Northern Virginia, and her work spans from work as a spokesperson, corporate consultant, freelance writer and book author. She’s particularly well-known for her expertise in diabetes nutrition management and healthy restaurant eating.
On this episode we discuss the health and nutrition pitfalls of restaurant eating and some specific tips, tactics and tricks people can use to continue to enjoy restaurant meals while also eating healthfully. Hear why Hope says “people are eating at restaurants to get the job of eating done” and why we tend to associate “value” with “volume”.
Here are the resources we mentioned on the show:
- Hope’s books, blog, social media accounts and more information can be found here: www.HopeWarshaw.com
